LECT has been providing professional development and exchange programmes for Scottish teachers since its foundation. Over the years our programmes have developed and we now work closely with the Scottish Executive Education Department and local authorities in Scotland to provide teachers with a crucial resource for the implementation of the international dimension in education.

For professional problems and support, teachers on exchange should contact their union. Overseas teachers unions have reciprocal arrangements with unions in Scotland. For information about these arrangements, please contact your own union or one of the Scottish teachers unions.
