Martin Hesketh (Hon Treasurer)

Martin is a finance professional being a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CPFA). He has a BSSc (Hons) degree in Economics and Geography.

Martin's professional working life has spanned both the public and private sectors. Having undertaken his CIPFA training with Birmingham City Council, Martin has held senior posts in the local education authorities of both the London Borough of Lambeth, and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

In the private sector, Martin worked as a Senior Consultant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouse Coopers), primarily in the education team, working with a range of public and private sector clients. Martin also worked for the FTSE 100 company Capita Group plc on a range of high profile outsourced contracts.

Martin is Deputy Principal, Finance and Corporate Planning, at City and Islington College .
