Programmes

LECT's international professional development programmes offer teachers the opportunity to experience the best that Commonwealth education has to offer.

Although these programmes are open to teachers from any Commonwealth country, those from outside the UK should first contact LECT for information about joining the programmes.

Current programmes we are running:

Study Visits - Study visits are arranged by LECT are based on a particular theme in education.

Teachers International Professional Development (TIPD) Programme - this programme is based on the participation of groups of two/three local authorities working together on their chosen curriculum themes.

One Year Exchanges - these are organised on a post-to-post basis with successful applicants exchanging jobs and accommodation.

Northern Ireland - professional development and exchange programmes for teachers from Northern Ireland.
