Programmes

European Studies Programme

European Studies is a free post-primary curriculum based programme (as opposed to a student exchage based programme) available to all schools within Europe. Its aims are to further tolerence, increase understanding and develop appreciation of other cultures. Schools participating in the programme are assigned to a cluster of schools including a Northern Ireland school, a Republic of Ireland school and 4 to 5 other schools from 25 different European countries. Each school chooses their own coordinator who then attends workshops and regional training days.

Schools can gain accreditation through the programme including The International Award,as well as gaining European Studies Certificates of Participation. Funding can be found from sources such as the British Council’s Comenius programme and the application form can be downloaded from the website.
